Howard Paul Belisch

Funeral Mass: 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Church, 6150 Pershing Ave., Fort Worth. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation with rosary: 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel.

Paul served in the Army from 1962-1964. He worked for the Texas Welfare Department for nearly 30 years and later for Dispute Resolution Services of Tarrant County. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. He volunteered at Holy Name Catholic Church, Carter Blood Care, Big Brothers and the Democratic Party. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and father-in-law. He always went out of his way to be generous to family and friends, living by his creed, "Random acts of kindness."

His wish was for peace on earth.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Suzan Clary; and brother, Sigmund "Bud" Belisch.

Survivors: Wife of 51 years, Gloria; children, Sandy Johnson (the Rev. Kevin), Deborah Hansford, Tony Belisch (Linda); grandchildren, Mallory Owen, Heath Owen, Justin Lowery, Sarah Johnson, Russell Clary, Sabrina Johnson, Wesley Belisch; great-grandchildren, Aiden Lowery, Genevieve Lowery; brother, the Rev. Carl Belisch; sister, Mary Shemanski; and many other family members, friends and Democrats across the nation.
