Ilma V. Ramirez

Ilma V. Ramirez, age 84, of Fort Worth, Texas passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023. Ilma was born May 13,1938 in Berclair, Texas to parents Teodoso Villafranco and Cecilea Gonzales. She had 8 brothers and sisters, and she was the 2nd to the youngest.

She married Frank Ramirez on September 22, 1957 and they shared 65 wonderful years together. They had 4 children, Frank Jr. (Sandra), Barbara Sotello (Roland), Jerry Ramirez and Gino Ramirez (Brenda).

Although she only made it to the 2nd grade, she was a hard worker and sacrificed her education to help her family. She worked for a company called Anacast where she developed her independence and hard working work ethic. She then was a dedicated and well loved housekeeper for many years before retiring.

Ilma was an excellent cook. She also taught herself how to use the computer and was a great seamstress. She loved her jewelry, watching shows such as Texas Rangers baseball, Dancing with the Stars and Blue Bloods. She was a huge Texas Ranger fan, with her favorite Player being Michael Young. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with all. Ilma was a dedicated Christian until her passing.

She is preceded in death by Stella Villafranco. She is survived by her sister Nancy, brother Balde, her loving husband, Frank Ramirez, of 65 years. Her 4 children, 11 grandchildren & 11 great grandchildren.

A visitation for Ilma will be held Friday, February 24, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Laurel Land FH - Ft Worth, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134. A funeral service will occur Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134. A committal service will occur Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134.
