Service: 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at Laurel Land Funeral Home with visitation at 1 p.m.
Iris was born June 24, 1930, in Pleasant Hill, N.M., to Gordon and Faye Smith. She was a missionary with IMB for 35 years in Uruguay, Peru and Venezuela. Iris will be lovingly remembered for her kindness and generosity by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Tom Watson.
Survivors: Daughters, Janet Watson Swords, Elizabeth Watson-Martin and Lisa Ann Watson; siblings, Mildred Bostick, Koleta and Robert Whitaker, and Darrell and Texalee Smith; grandchildren, Francisco, Kimberly and Amy Garcia, Serena, Smith, Sam, Sarah and Seth Swords, and Grace and Celeste Watson-Martin; and great-grandchildren, Isaac Farmer and Camryn Garcia.
