Irma Villanueva

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Irma Villanueva, who left us on April 29th, 2026, at the age of 72. She was a beloved mother, wife, friend, and her presence will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Born on July 28th, 1953, in Hondo, Texas, Irma Villanueva was the child of Nieves and Manuela Gonzales. Throughout her life, Irma was known for her love of singing and karaoke, especially any Patsy Cline music. She enjoyed Lifetime movies and was also a beloved cook in the family, preparing meals that filled not only bellies but hearts. She valued family time above all else, devoting her time to taking care of and loving her grandchildren.

Irma Villanueva is survived with deep sorrow by her husband, Avelino Villanueva; Son, Jeremy Villanueva and wife, Amanda Villanueva; Daughter, Sonya Patton and husband, William Patton; and Grandchildren, Jaron Villanueva, Dillon Henry, Madison Bustillos, Eli Patton, Jayden Villanueva.

Irma is preceded in death by her mother and father, Nieves and Manuela Gonzales; and sister Olivia Lira.

The family deeply appreciated the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Irma’s Legacy will live on in all who knew her.
