Jack Alton Hammonds

Jack Alton Hammonds was born in Beaumont, Texas to Joseph John Hammonds Sr. and Matilda Jane (English) on October 9th, 1947. He went to school at Eastern Hills High School in Fort Worth, Texas.

He married Irene Porras Hammonds on December 4, 1971 in Arlington, Texas at his brother’s house. He worked as an inspector for Lockheed Martin for over 30 years. He was involved in rock and roll bands during the 60s and 70s such as Jack and the Rippers, The Blue Notes, and Promises. He continued his love for music and restoring old cars in his garage with family and friends for many years.

Jack is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Sr. and Matilda Hammonds, brothers, Joseph Jr and Jerry Hammonds, and son, Clayton Bodee Hammonds.

He is survived by his wife, Irene Hammonds, son and daughter in law, Charles and Lindsey Hammonds, grandkids, Jackson, Jett and Lyla Hammonds and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Memorials may be given to family members at 205 Hillside Dr. Kennedale, TX 76060.
