Jack was born Dec. 21, 1928, in Houston to Harvey W. and Daisy T. Harris. He married Stella Stone on Aug. 29, 1952. He graduated from Hardin-Simmons University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He pastored six churches over 32 years in the Houston area, Texas City and Fort Worth. After retiring he and his wife continued serving the Lord by conducting wedding ceremonies. He was a member of Travis Avenue Baptist Church. He lived his life serving the Lord after accepting Jesus as his Savior at the age of 19. Jack was a devoted husband, loving daddy, and fun, goofy granddaddy. When he was young he performed in the Houston Rodeo trick riding, and in in his later years he enjoyed manicuring his yard, and working on small home projects.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Stella, and his son, Harold.
Survivors: He is survived by his daughters, Kathy Reynolds and husband, Mike, Lori Featherkile; grandchildren, Jennifer, Brandon, Daniel, Laura, Jaclyn, Scott, Marissa and Alynna; and eight great-grandchildren.
