Jacqueline Delores Sanders

Born September 21, 1948 in Palmetto Florida, Jackie graduated from Lincoln Memorial High School in 1966. She went on to marry Richard Sanders Jr. on July 29, 1968. Jacqueline and Richard were fortunate to have enjoyed 59 years together.

She retired from her career as a buyer for the Federal Government after 20 years. She was a devout Christian who enjoyed listening to gospel music. She really enjoyed caring for her pets; Missy, Snow, and Taz, and especially the neighborhood cats. Jacqueline loved shopping for cute purses and shoes. She also enjoyed watching tennis and was a supporter of the Democratic Party.

She is preceded in death by her mother Erma Lee Edwards,

grandparents James and Carrie Gainey, brothers James Gainey and Arthur Carley and her sister Linda Edwards.

She is survived by her husband Richard Sanders Jr., son Richard Sanders III and daughter-in-law Beth, grandchildren Cierra and Richard Sanders IV, her brother Ernest Edwards Jr., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Memorials are suggested to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center

A funeral service will be held at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth, located at 7100 Crowley Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76134, on February 17, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

A committal service will follow at the same location from 11:00 am to 11:30 am.

Jacqueline was a resident of Fort Worth, Texas.
