

James was born to Robert and Katherine Davis. He lived a full life rooted in hard work, family, and faith, trusting in the Lord throughout his life.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Nora Jane Davis; his sister, Quida McEachen; his children, Robert Davis and wife Carrie Davis; stepdaughter Tammy Wilson and husband Tracy Wilson; and stepson Michael Kenney and wife Dana Kenney. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Sherri Wendler, Robert Comer, Brayden Kenney, and Nathan Davis; great-grandchildren, Trevor Wendler and Alaylah Wendler; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Katherine Davis; his brother, Gene Davis; his son, Gary Davis; and his stepson, Gary Kenney.
Ed spent his career in the printing industry, where he dedicated many years of hard work. Outside of his career, he enjoyed traveling, cars, playing cards, and spending time at the Moose Lodge. He especially loved capturing memories through photography during his travels and of his family.
Ed was truly one of a kind—a character who liked things done his way and could be particular at times, but was also a loving and devoted husband. His commitment to his wife, Jane, was unwavering. His family finds comfort in knowing he is now at peace and in the presence of his Lord and Savior.
A viewing will be held from 12:00-2:00 PM on April 27, 2026, at Laurel Land Funeral Home in Crowley, Texas, followed by a graveside service at 2:00 PM.
