

James Henry Newman, age 73, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2026. He was born on May 10, 192, in Dawson, Texas to Clarence Lee Newman and Barbara Ann Crowder, who preceded him in death. James was a devoted husband to Carolyn Ann Newman and a loving father to his three children. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and later became a dedicated employee for the City Of Fort Worth, where he worked hard until retirement. Known for his strong work ethic and caring spirit, James was respected by many and loved deeply by his family and friends. James enjoyed his life to the fullest. He loved music, dancing, watching movies, and spending time with people he loved most. His laughter, wisdom, and presence brought comfort and joy to those around him.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his children; Shirley Delores Newman, Christopher Monroe Newman (deceased), and Tamera Nicolas Newman; his grandchildren; Aric Newman, Jamorian Newman (deceased), Jasmine McIntosh, Jada Hurd, and Broderick Newman; and his great grandchild, Quentin Hicks, Jr., along with many extended family members and dear friends.
James will be remembered for his love, strength, kindness, and the lasting impact he made on everyone who knew him. His memory will forever live in the hearts of those who loved him.
