

Jean “Carolyn” Bell entered into eternal rest on December 8, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on August 14, 1931, Carolyn lived a long, rich, and faith-filled life defined by devotion to her family, her church, and the many people she loved so deeply.
A longstanding member of Saint Matthew’s First United Methodist Church in Fort Worth, Carolyn’s gentle spirit and steadfast faith were evident in every season of her life. She became a member of the Flower Mound Church of Christ in 2014 and was baptized at the age of 90 on February 9, 2022.
Carolyn was a loving wife, a devoted mother, and the beating heart of her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harry Bell, with whom she shared many cherished years; as well as, her siblings - Richard, Danny, Jimmy, Joann, Libby, Anne, and Ronnie; and grandson, Blake Barkley.
Carolyn is survived by her sister, Rene Nicholas Matlock, and her four children: Harry "Steve" Bell and children Baylon, Brent, and Byron Bell; Robbie Barkley, her husband Daryl, and their daughter Blair Baker; James Bell, his wife Michele, and their daughters Caitlin Bell, Libby Darby, and Bailey Bell; and Brian Bell and his children James and Stevie Bell. She also leaves behind numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family who adored her.
Carolyn’s life was marked by generosity, strength, and a quiet grace that made everyone feel welcome. She will be remembered always for her unwavering love, her gentle humor, and the comfort she brought to all who gathered around her. Her legacy lives on in the family she cherished and in the countless hearts she touched.
She will forever be remembered as everyone’s Mimi; adored, treasured, and profoundly missed.
