Jean Hayes Evitt

Service: 10 a.m. Saturday in Laurel Land Memorial Chapel. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Laurel Land Funeral Home in Fort Worth.

Jean was born in January 1931 to Isom and Osha Hayes in Bell County. She was a longtime member of Green Oaks Church of Christ in Arlington. Jean's family remembers her greatest passion in life was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She will join in death her husband of 52 years, Lee Evitt; her parents; and siblings, Vernon G. Hayes, Evelyn Backus, Louise Spradley and J.C. Hayes.

Survivors: Those left to cherish her memory are her brother, Bill Hayes; daughters, Carol Hayes Evitt, Kaye Evitt Bray and husband, Philip, Susan Evitt Smith and husband, Daniel; grandchildren, Heather Bradford Spencer and husband, Paul, Megan Stephens Shane and husband, Bryan, Bonnie Bray Dennehey and husband, Shane, Benjamin Bray and wife, Cari, Jonathan Bray, Jeremy Smith and wife, Michelle, Rebecca Smith Olson and husband, Adam, Connor Smith and Kassidy Smith; great-grandchildren, Krista, Mikayla, Leah, Jameson, Elleson, Bethany, Andrew and Blayze; close family friend, Steve Stephens; and many extended relatives and friends.
