During this morning's sermon, I thought about "Miss Pittman", who was unquestionably the best teacher I and many others were blessed to have in our lives. I'm truly saddened to hear she passed and offer my deepest condolences to her family. Jeanette Pittman was one of the most beautiful people I've ever encountered in so many ways. Encouraging, inspiring, loving and genuine are just a few of  the words that come to mind when I think of one of this lovely lady. In my yearbook, she wrote "Noelle, you're going to be an author- I just know it"...and having just ONE person believe in me like that is something that has given me courage and determination even decades later. I love and will never forget you, Miss Pittman...thank you for being there for so many of your students; I have no doubt I'm not the only one who still remembers your kindness and all of the life lessons you taught throughout your tenure. You're with our Lord and at eternal peace now but your memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to have known you in life.

I just found out abut the passing. I am so sorry. She was my favorite teacher at Midway Park Elementary. I had her for 4th and 5th grade. She made learning fun and she taught me to believe in myself. I remember she hung my colored pencil maps on the wall for several years, even after I graduated from high school! You were a true angel on earth and God made room for you in Heaven.

Many happy memories at Midway Park.  I will miss my dear, dear friend Jeanette.

I remember this lovely lady as someone that always had a smile, a laugh, and a kind word for everyone.  She and Bruce were like another set of parents to me and my brother and sister.  We were neighbors for a short time but family all our lives.  A light on earth has gone out but a star in heaven was born.

I grew up in Field City also and have very fond memories of both Jeanette and Shirley. My thoughts and prayers go with the family.

I'm another Field City church as well as classmate in school with Jeanette.  She was such a sweet person and loved by everyone.  I will never forget the fun times we had at church socials for the youth.  Prayers are with the family that  God grants you peace.

I remember her as a spunky,  full of life teacher! I will never forget her zest for life. My prayers go out to her family.

I am so sorry for the loss of Jeanette. I have known her all my life, both as classmates and at Field City Baptist Church. My Mom thought of the Bowers girls as her own and loved them that way. I loved the entire family and still do! My best wishes to Bruce and the rest of the family.

I was so sorry to get this information. Jeanette was always such a sweet person.  I grew up as one of the Field City kids.  My first year at youth camp, Jeanette helped me get dressed one night for worship service ( she was 3 years older and much wiser) because I had seen a very cute boy that I wanted to notice me.  I have never forgotten her kindness that week.

Sympathy from another Field City friend.  We loved Jeanette and her family for our growing-up years.  So sorry for your untimely loss.

What an amazing lady! Best GT teacher I have seen on our campus! She touched many lives and her bright light will shine on through her students forever.

I grew up with Jeanette and her family in a Dallas neighborhood called Field City and our families worshiped awesome God together at Field City Baptist Church all those years.

May God's love comfort and sustain each of you at the difficult times and may joyful memories bring a smile in the midst.

OH my goodness words just do not do it.  Mimi was such a true angel.  She was always so up beat and positive.  I thought the world of this sweet lady.  I will never forget her coming and picking up Lexi in my class always with a smile on her sweet beautiful face.  She shined with her smile and her sweetness.  She will be missed by many, Papa Bruce we are sorry and so sad to hear of this.  She is a true angel now in heaven with our Lord.  May God give you comfort during this time of need. Prayers are with yall
