D. Jeanne Shoop - May 13, 1935 - October 3, 2022, Fort Worth, Texas. Born in Utica, NY, Mom would ultimately meet the love of her life, our dad, Jim, at age 19, while attending a dance on Griffiss Air Force Base, Rome, NY. Dad checked Mom in at that dance. They would marry on September 3, 1954; moving to Cincinnati, Ohio (dad’s hometown) upon his discharge. They would have four children over the next 10 years. In 1967, the family would relocate to Fort Worth. Mom was a stay-at-home mom until she began a career as a secretary for family counselors, and Cook Home Health, until retiring. Mom and Dad were active members of Meadowbrook United Methodist Church. Mom loved her family and friends, enjoying events with us and close friends throughout her life. She loved knitting, sewing, and reading. Mom and Dad would celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary in 2004. “Mom, you ran your earthy race with love and perseverance. We are so proud to have called you our mom.” Sons, Stephen (wife/Donna) and Mark (wife/Shanda), and daughters, Sandy Muir (husband/Alistair) and Laurie Zeigler (husband/Ted). “Goodbye Nana, we love you,” from Callum and Cameron Muir, T.J.
