

Jemima Drummond was born on November 29, 1919 in Moreland Hill, Westmoreland Jamaica. She was known by many names. Mama; Aunt Jem; Miss. Jem; Grandma; Grandma Jem Jem; and Gran Gran were some of the many names she answered to. Jemima lived a full life spanning 95 years. She truly made the most of the time she had on this earth as best as she could. She was fun loving, energetic, warm and hospitable to those blessed to meet her. Jemima was the foundation that unified and stabilized her family. Throughout her long life journey Jemima had a gift for making those around her feel comfortable and at home regardless of if they were family, a lifelong friend, or someone she recently met thanks to her large family. Jemima will forever be in our hearts and will be missed dearly. As her family we thank God for choosing us to be blessed with such an outstanding woman who helped shape the lives of each of us and we will carry her in our hearts everyday as we go on.
Jemima leaves behind 7 adoring children, Hazel Daley, Keith Hall, Eloine Hall-Fenton, Clarence Rowe, Florette Rowe, Lorna Shepherd, and Tony Gayle. Also mourning her loss are her 10 Grandchildren, Michael Hall, Jackie Hall-Palmer, Dwight Hall, Teddy Hall, Elizabeth Maharajh, Michael Fenton, Michelle Byles, Susan Rowe, Wayne Rowe and Paul Rowe. The youngest ones touched by her spirit and love that are also mourning her loss are her Great-Grandchildren. There are 9 young children who were blessed to have known their Great-Grandmother and her Grandchildren will help keep her memory alive in their lives. Those Great-Grandchildren are Tatum Hall, Ava Hall, Sydney Hall, Dominic Byles, Jordan Byles, Luke Hall, Vanessa Hall, Aiden Rowe and Natalie Rowe. Jemima also leaves behind two surviving sisters, Dottie Drummond, Aunt Lur, her niece Violet Reid, and nephew Ansel Reid along with numerous other nieces and nephews. Jemima had multiple health struggles the latter part of her life. Her granddaughter Jackie took the lead role in caring for her for numerous years. Jemima had multiple caregivers in the last few years of her life and also leaves behind her most recent Caregiver Gertrude Kinglocke.
Jemima was called home to her Lord and Savior on January 11, 2015. Jemima will be greatly missed by her family, friends and loved ones. Memories of her smile, voice, laughter and warm embrace will forever warm our hearts.
