

Jessie Mae Rogers was born on May 13, 1919 in Waxahachie, Texas to the parentage of the late Iantha Thomas and the late I.V. Benson. She moved to Fort Worth, Texas as a young woman in the early 1940's.
She attended Ebenzer Missionary Baptist Church and later moved her membership to Mayfield Baptist Church in 1945, where she served as a faithful usher as long as her health permitted.
She did domestic work and cared for her mother, the late Mrs. Huckaby, until she went to glory in 1974. She was preceded in death by her late sister and brother in law, Jacqueline & Winston Wilcox, her sister the late Mary L. Wallace and her son, Andrew Leon Hill (Scrumpy).
Jessie loved the Lord with all her heart and served him faithfully in her life. She leaves a legacy of a life lived by faith and precious memories to her loving grandchildren, Andrew Leon Hill, Jr. (Butch), Debrah L. Jackson (Che Che), Raymond (hushand), Yolanda & Catrina Howard, extended grandchildren, Artie & Ken Harris and the late Clarence Thomas (Chucky); great grandchildren. NiCole Fitchette (Emmanuale), JaNell Sharp (Chad), Jason Leon Jackson (LaMeisha), Porche & Roderick Bullock, Taylor, Chris & Darrel Howard, and six great great grandchildren.
