

Jim was born December 24, 1950 in Habersham, TN. He was a student at Polytechnic High School and received his Bachelors degree in Engineering from Richmond College. Jim loved his work and has some patents for some of his designs. Jim recently retired from Diamondback Industries in Crowley where he was a design engineer.
Jim married the love of his life Kathy on January 11, 1985. Together they have explored many places in the US, Canada and China. He met many life long friends during his journey. He was devoted to his family and work. He cared passionately for people. He gave to homeless shelters as well as people in need. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, fishing and camping. People enjoyed being around him for his sense of humor and caring nature. When your around him there was always a lot of fun and laughter. Jim was an amazing person and there will never be another like him.
Preceded in death by his mother Lucille Virginia Carr, father Alfred Lloyd Carr, two brothers, Russell Lee Carr and Charles Connie Carr. Two sisters Mary Lou Carr Duncan and Rosie Jean Carr Barnett.
He is survived by his beloved wife Kathy Lorraine Wallace Carr, sister Reta Jane Carr Carnes, brother Gus Carr, children Robin Lucille Carr Cox, Selena Jean Carr, Kathy Kristine Simon, Lex Matthew Simon, grandchildren Chase Matthew Ledfors, Tyler Wayne Cox, Jacob Robert Dewell, Kaytlin Savanna Kinkle, Justin Lee Garner and Jason Lloyd Garner.
