Preceded in death by her husband of 32 years Dale A. Choate in 2004.
She is survived by her daughters, Michele L. Choate and Monica S. Donelson; grandchildren, Brandon O. Donelson and Brant A. Choate; great grandchildren, Cohen Rye Donelson and Alexander O. Donelson and many family members and friends.
Jo Ann graduated from Sulphur Springs High School in 1951 and then earned a bachelor’s degree from East Texas State University of Commerce. She later did graduate work at Texas Woman's University. She retired after 38 years as a librarian and system analyst with the Federal Aviation Administration. Jo Ann was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Keller. She loved caring for people especially her family. In her free time she enjoyed listening to gospel music and reading.
