

Joe was preceded in death by his father Joe H. Truly, mother Phyllis M. Truly, sister Nora (red) Gilbreath. Heaven is a more joyous place now that this family has been reunited.
Joe went to BH Carroll elementary, Rosemont Jr. High, and Pachal High. He has remained close with many of his school friends. All through school, Joe was an outstanding athlete. Excelling in football, he went to Arlington State on a football scholarship.
Joe started working at the age of fifteen bagging grocery at Worth Food store. He was a real people person. This helped him through his business life as a salesman for several large cosmetic companies, M & M Mars candy and then worked for Walmart for thirteen plus years as a produce manager and assistant store manager. Joe retired in 2008 to help with the care if his ailing father. Joe loved to be around people, for over twenty years he worked the Fort Worth Fat Stock show, parked cars at TCU, he was a licensed auctioneer in partnership with his Dad in the Poke About, a new and used store. He worked as an inspector for Dentex Inspections. He helped take care of the Swingtime Center and worked in his yard. Joe wasn't all work, he and his wife Adrian loved square dancing, traveling, and playing games with friends. He loved to play pranks on family and others.
Joe is survived by his wife Adrian, sister Kathleen, four children Tim, Teri, Ted, and Todd, nine grandchildren and three great grand-children. His sweet smile and the mischief in his twinkling blue eyes will be missed but never forgotten.
