John Christopher Geis was born on February 2nd, 1943, in Harvard County, Kansas. He was baptized on October 9th, 1994 by Bro. Terry Williams and loved serving the Lord. He truly believed in supporting missionaries to help share the Word of God. John was a successful salesman for many years before retiring. He loved to fish, travel, go to casinos and spend time with his family. His greatest joy was being a grandfather and great-grandfather. John departed this world for Heaven on November 27th, 2018, at his home in Denton, Texas, surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by his best friend, partner in crime, fishing buddy and precious wife of 30 years: Linda Geis, children: Tonja and Bernardo Bitencourt, Tammy and Stewart Brewer, Robert and Pam Barnett, Cindy and Heath Shufelt, Christina Morrison, Johnnie Geis, Deborah and Nathan Collette, Jacqueline Geis, and Troy and Brittney Geis.
He is also survived by his grand-children: John Thomas and Mindy Barnett, Jeff Barnett, Joshua and Lauren Barnett, Jacob and Jessie Tennison, Jared and Blair Tennison, Corey and Anna Zimmerman, Cyle and LeAnna Zimmerman, Cindy and Joshua Hibbert, Caylee and Carlos Lazo, Camren Brewer, Dylan Brewer, Jordan Barnett, Allison Barnett, Matthew Jones, Moriah Shufelt, Hannah Shufelt, Bo Shufelt, Kailee Morrison, Kelsea Morrison, River and Randa Hinson, John and Bethany Geis, Eugene and Ashley Geis, Jason Phipps, Joseph and Sharon Collette, Rebekah and Dylan Bartosh, Ashley and Sam Burgess, Bryant Savell, Codey Geis, and Kyndel Geis.
His most celebrated blessings are his great grand-children: Amos Blayne Barnett, Ethan Goodson, Wyatt Barnett, Annalise Tennison, Jackson Tennison, Oliver Zimmerman, Brayden Hibbert, Sebastian Hibbert, Eli Lazo, Daniel Clark, Colt Hinson, Ryder Hinson, River Hinson, Brayden Geis, Kynsleigh Geis, Sierrra Collette, Dayton Bartosh, Dakota Burgess, Brenden Burgess and Peyton Burgess.
John also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law, along with other family members and loved ones.
John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Edna Geis, and his sister, Lauma.
