I just read of John's passing in the Edinboro High School announcement of the all classes reunion in few weeks.  I, too, was in many of the activities John was in in a small class of 44 students in high school. Furthermore we were far away from the high school and living next door rode together to the many events.  I whas so glad to see him at our  50th class  reunion but we did not get to talk too much.  I just retired and moved back to my old home and was so much looking forward to seeing John. John was a special friend to many students throughout the classes.  We are planning a picnic the day after the reunion on Saturday at my house just down the road from where John grew up.  

To all his family whom I have never met I send my thoughts and prayers for you all. I witnessed many of the good traits that he had evidently learned growing in Edinboro.     He will be truly missed.

Cheri, I only heard of Jay's passing this weekend.  So sorry to know I did not fulfill my bucket list item. to play golf with him and show him my Hole-in-one plaque.  What fun I made of him chasing that little white ball and now I know.  Best boss I ever had.  Funny how time eludes us.  I was looking at some old jewelry just a few weeks back and the necklace you and Jay gave me when ya'll went to Dallas was there.  Prayers for comfort and peace..

Cheri, I played golf with Jay a lot and he always had smile, especially when he would get a call from you, laughing like a school boy so in love, he would always give me some of your great banana bread. I could tell he was a loving man. I miss him.

Please know that John's classmates share your sorrow.  He was a fun, entertaining, (handsome) addition to our small class of 42 students. We regret that he moved so far away that we didn't get to share your life with him.  May God grant you peace as you thank Him for sharing Jay's life journey with us all.
