

FORT WORTH -- Johnnye Ellen Martin, born January 25,1931, passed on October 22,2016. Visitation: Monday, 6pm-8 pm, Funeral : Tuesday , 10:00 am both at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel, Burial: to follow at Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park.
Johnnye was born in Nacogdoches,TX. She had three siblings: Mavis Venable, R. C. Anderson and JD Anderson. Johnnye attended Chireno High School, she graduated two years early.. She was raised in Attoyac, TX, Nacogdoches County. Her friends were Littie Mae Martin, and Genevieve Stanland. She moved to Texas in the late 1950's. After finishing high school, Johnnye married Billy R. Martin, August 13,1947, they were blessed with three children Johnnye was a Homemaker, she also wanted to be a school teacher.She was an active member of a local senior citizen's group, Avid Reader, Texas Ranger Fan, Scrap-booking, and The Queen Mother of Red Hat Club. Johnnye enjoyed sewing, ceramics, travel, and gardening. She was also known for Mam-Ma Biscuits and 42 Domino Game.
Johnnye is preceded in death by her husband; Billy R. Martin Sr, Granddaughters; Chelly Martin, and Natalie Martin.
Johnnye is survived by: Son; Billy R. Martin Jr.(Marilyn), Daughters; Marsha Ahn Martin, Judy Bauereisen (Rob), Granddaughters; Samantha Illig, Michelle Flores(Eddie), Great Grandchildren; Victoria Olivari, Tomas Olivari, Eddie Michael Flores, Kaitlin Flores and Friends.
