

Celebration of life: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sagamore Baptist Church, 2301 Dottie Lynn Parkway. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel, 7301 East Lancaster.
Joyce was born March 7, 1931, to Ed and Margaret White in Anadarko, Okla. She graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Okla., and received her counseling certificate from the University of North Texas in Denton.
Joyce began her teaching career in Englewood, Kan. She taught in Clarksville, Tenn., while Ralph was in the service. She taught Latin, English and was a counselor in the Fort Worth Independent School District for 32 years, retiring in 1990. After retiring she volunteered at Sagamore Baptist Church's Crisis Pregnancy Center for 10 years.
She was an active member of Sagamore Baptist Church for 57 years and especially enjoyed being a part of the drama department of the church. She was also a member and past president of the Opti-Mrs. Club of Fort Worth.
She enjoyed cooking, entertaining and traveling with her husband.
Survivors: She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ralph; daughter, Vicki and husband, Terry Miller, of Boyd; sister, Roma Rogers of Oklahoma City, Okla.; brother, Hal White and wife, Cathy, of Mustang, Okla.; grandson, Mark Miller of Carrollton; granddaughter, DiAnn and husband, Keith Barton, of Haslet; nephews, Kent and wife, Tresa Rogers, of Lone Tree, Colo., Jeff and wife, Christy White, of Sugar Land; and five great-nieces and great-nephews.
