Memorials: Because of her love of politics and her desire to bring back the true American Spirit, she would ask in lieu of flowers please vote Donald Trump 2016.
She was born in 1940 in Fort Worth. As a young girl, she enjoyed ballet and riding horses. She married her high school sweetheart and became an Army wife after he was drafted. They have had many adventures together and shared a love of scuba diving. After the army they opened their own successful construction business. They moved out to the country where they raised four children.
Her love of learning and standing up for what she believed in drove most of her passion. She was an accomplished stain glass artisan, seamstress, activist, writer, gardener, and cook. However it was her love of animals that made her happy. She worked tirelessly with many rescue operations and Texas Fish and Wildlife to rehabilitate injured or imprinted animals.
Survivors: She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Michael; and her children, Tadd Vinson, Betsy Vinson Burg, Paige Vinson, and Mitzi Vinson James; as well as her five grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. Arrangements under the direction of Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel & Cemetery, Fort Worth, TX.
