June Turpin

GRANBURY -- Muriel June (Moncrief) Turpin, 78, passed away June 20, 2015 in Ft. Worth. Graveside Service will be held at Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery on Thursday at 2:00pm. Visitation will be from 11:30 - 1:30 Thursday at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel. June was born in Bastrop, LA, Moorehouse Parrish on June 16th, 1938. She graduated in 1956 from Polytechnic High School. June worked for Arlington Bank & Trust, Texas Commerce, Chase and retired in the 90’s from Lockheed Martin. June and Jerry enjoyed their retirement years on Lake Granbury entertaining friends and family. June loved to host parties for her family at the lake. Many weekends and holidays were spent together making unforgettable memories for her children and grandchildren. She will always be our cherished Grammy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ethel Moncrief and son-in-law Joel Weatherred.

Survivors: Husband, Jerry Turpin of Granbury. Children, Melanie (Pelton) Higham of Arlington, Ronnie Pelton,Jr. and wife Bridgett of Argyle, Melissa (Pelton) Weatherred of Arlington and Andy Pelton of Lubbock, Kim and David Martin of Hallsville. Sister, Janet Peters and husband Ted of Fort Worth. Nieces, Susan Bruner, Cindy Watkins and nephew John Watkins.

Grandchildren and Great grandchildren are, Kristy and Eric Pettigrew and their children Colton and Emerson June. Ben Higham, Amanda Weatherred, Wade and Jennifer Weatherred and children Skylar and Wesley, Emmaline Martin, Jessica Martin and son Rhett, John Hall Martin and wife Paige, Jake and Zack Pelton and Lillian Pelton.
