

Ladell Hunter, a retired painter for Bell Helicopter passed away Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Harris Hospital Fort Worth, Texas with his family by his side. He was born to Velguster Brown and Ruth Ella Hunter in Marshall, Texas, on August 26, 1944 and lived a life full of love and dedication to his family and friends. Ladell was known for his great smile, generosity, kindness and always had great advice when asked.
He was a cherished and devoted husband to his wife, Clariese Clayton Hunter for 60 years. Ladell Loved and cherished his sister Linda Brown who was our rock and great supporter to his wife Clariese Hunter doing the last 2 years. Linda always bought a smile to his face on her numerous visits. Thank you Linda Carol for always being there at my numerous beckon calls. He was a great Son-in-law to Bonnie Clayton and brother-in-law to James Lynch, Marvin Jackson, Mattie Sayles, Bonnie Borders, Lois Wallace, Evon Levy, L J Clayton Jr., Berniece Davis, Rogena Washington, and Valeria Session. Ladell’s passing will be deeply mourned by all who knew and loved him.
Ladell Hunter was a 1964 Graduate of Paul Lawrence Dunbar High School. He was the proud owner of Metroplex Furniture for well over 40 years and worked at General Dynamic as well as Lockheed Martin in California in the 70’s. He retired after 30 years from Bell Helicopter in 2012 so he could take his one and only Grandson, Hunter to and from school.
Preceded in death by His Father and Mother and brother, Lorenzo Ingram, Ladell leaves behind cherished memories for his wife Clariese Hunter and children Ladell Hunter II, Reginald J Hunter, wife Rhonda Hunter and Lariese J O’Bannon, husband Tarus O’Bannon, Grandchildren Avanti Hunter, Tierra Hunter, Alexis Hunter, Hunter Reeves and Great Grandchilden Jarlei, McKenzie, Messiah, and Nova, Beloved Sister, Linda Brown and husband Richard Brown, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, numerous ex-coworkers at Bell Helicopter, extended family and friends as well as his Berryhill Kids and classmates at Paul Lawrence Dunbar High School. We will all miss him and his love dearly.
