Larry was born Oct. 17, 1939, in Fort Worth. He graduated from TCU as a commissioned officer and pilot with the Air Force. He served during the Vietnam War flying KC-135s. His long career in aviation took him around the world with Braniff Airways, Modern Air and Nomads. His favorite position brought him back to Fort Worth, family and TCU. He was chief pilot, flying faculty and coaches in the athletic department to recruit new students for TCU athletics. In 1973 he married Karilee Muccino, the love of his life. She was beside him throughout his career and travels. Their favorite place was a safari in Africa. He was a gentle, soft-spoken man who will be greatly missed.
Survivors: His loving wife of 42 years, Karilee Kissinger; sister, Sandra Kissinger Sanders; niece, Jamie Sanders Meeks and husband, Mark; great-niece, Gabrielle Meeks; and other family and friends from coast to coast.
