Lois Powers, 82, formerly Lois Peterson of Moline, IL, passed away peacefully the evening of August 13, surrounded by friends and family. Lois married Will Powers (dec. 2022) in 1964 and brought their son Scott into the world in 1969. She was a wonderful Mother and delighted in helping others. Over the years, she did whatever was needed for the family: Typing dissertations for graduate students, executive assistant for Grandy's Corporation, but first and foremost just being "Mom". She was always there for us, whatever we needed, and still found time for philanthropic work through Epsilon Sigma Alpha (ESA) for many, many years of her life. Quick to smile and laugh, or a hug and a shoulder when you needed it. She will be missed by many. She is survived by her son Scott and her siblings Susan and Bruce.
