

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Luis Alarcon Renteria who left us June 23rd at the age of 93. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and his presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Born June 20, 1932 in Suchil, Durango, Mexico. Luis Alarcon Renteria was the child of David Renteria and Guadalupe Alarcon. Throughout his life, Luis Alarcon Renteria was known for being a loving brother to his siblings and a devoted son. He was a fan of sports, especially boxing. He enjoyed traveling thru Mexico and the US, loved eating good seafood, and always exercising to stay fit.. Luis Renteria held many occupations over his lifespan in the US including jobs in steel mills, agriculture, construction and painting machinery. His final job was for the City of Fort Worth Parks and Recreation. He devoted his time and energy to his wife of over 50 years Luciana, being a great dad to his son Luis Jr, and especially being an amazing grandfather to his two beloved grandsons Antonio and Elijah.
Luis Alarcon Renteria is survived with deep sorrow by his wife Luciana Renteria, son Luis Renteria Jr., daughter-in-law Patricia, grandsons Elijah and Antonio, sisters Maria Zavala, Carmen Renteria, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Luis Alarcon Renteria was preceded in death by his father David, mother Lupe, brothers Jesus, Ramiro and David, and sister Aurora.
The family invites relatives and friends to a celebration of Luis Alarcon Renteria’s life on July 18 at 11 am to be held at Laurel Land Funeral Home 7100 Crowley Rd, Fort Worth, Tx 76134. The family deeply appreciates the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Luis Alarcon Renteria’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
