Macon L. Clark IV, was born on the morning of November 6, 1987, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Dee Anna Clark and Macon L. Clark III. At just one year old, Macon’s life of adventure began when his father, serving in the U.S. Air Force, was reassigned to Ramstein Air Base in Germany. For the next four years, Germany was home. There, Macon learned to snow ski, ride a bike, and enjoyed countless walks across the countryside, often participating in volksmarch events with his family.
At the age of five, the Clarks returned to the United States and settled in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, eventually putting down roots in Grand Prairie. It was there that Macon formed a tight-knit group of lifelong friends known as the Winslow Boys. Those childhood days remained some of his fondest memories, cherished throughout his life.
In the summer of 2004, Macon met Angela Guhl. On May 8, 2005, they welcomed their son, Landon, into the world. Their second son, Peyton, arrived on March 6, 2008. Macon’s early work history included a short time at Six Flags, followed by a position at Sigma, and eventually a role at the tax office alongside his grandmother. He later partnered with his sister Lindsey to run Macatax, where he truly flourished, especially in this most recent tax season.
In 2016, Macon met the love of his life, Amy E. Penn. They soon began their journey together and welcomed their son, Hudson, on February 22, 2019. Macon and Amy were married on October 19, 2019, and soon after purchased their family home in Hurst. Their family grew again with the arrival of their daughter, Miley, on April 21, 2023.
Macon loved and lived for his children. Whether it was sports, bowling, golfing, darts, or fishing—he had a knack for excelling at everything he tried. Above all, he was a devoted father who strived every day to be better for his kids. He was kind, compassionate, and carried a heart as big as Texas.
We like to think that heaven has a dartboard and a stash of Skittles just for Macon—two of his greatest obsessions. If that’s the case, he’ll be just fine.
Macon is survived by his wife, Amy E. Penn; his mother, Dee Anna Clark; his father, Macon L. Clark III; his sister and business partner, Lindsey B. Reger; his sons, Landon A. Clark, Peyton L. Clark, and Hudson L. Clark; his daughter, Miley E. Clark; nephew Ryan N. Reger who gave him the name “Uncle Bacon”; and numerous family and friends.
