

Maggie Pruitt was born December 10, 1926 to Bert and Bessie Pruitt, and was the ninth of ten children. Her life was woven with resilience and boundless warmth. Following her education in Maypearl, Texas, Maggie made Fort Worth her home, where she lovingly served the Walsh family as their cherished cook for many decades. Known for her delicious cakes and contagious laughter, Maggie had a special gift for brightening every room she entered. Beyond her culinary talents, Maggie had a heart of gold. She delighted in visiting loved ones, always bringing along treats and dishes to share, aiming to bring comfort and joy wherever she went. Maggie also had a passion for thrift shopping, finding treasures and sharing stories of her discoveries with friends and family. She found relaxation in watching Westerns, "Walker, Texas Ranger," and "Murder, She Wrote," while keeping up with the latest celebrity news and gossip. Throughout her life, Maggie cherished the love and affection of her nieces and nephews, who brought her immense joy. She leaves behind her cherished godsons, Leonard and Louis, as well as a multitude of nieces, nephews, beloved neighbors, and friends. Maggie was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Bessie Pruitt, and her siblings: Willie Bertha, Milton, Jack Tebbs, Ruth, LS, Jerry Eugene, Lila, Myrtle, and Marguerite. Her presence touched the lives of many, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of warmth that will forever live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
