It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Major Willie, who departed this life on April 5, 2026 at the age of 83. He was a beloved husband, father and cherished grandfather and friend and his presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Born on April 28, 1942, Major Willie was the son of Will and Emily Willie. Throughout his life, Major Willie was known for his craft and love of gardening and kindness that touched everyone he met.
Major Willie is survived with deep sorrow by his children; Bobby Glenn Willie, Gary Willie, TaMekia Sethi and TaVida Harris. Siblings; Willie Pearl Harrison, Jessie Robinson, Mae Ester Henderson, John Willie Sr., Freddie Willie, Eddie Lee Willie, Danny Willie, Morris Willie Sr., Nello Willie, grandchildren and many more family and friends.
Major Willie was preceded in death by parents: Will and Emily Willie, wife: Teressa Harris-Willie, Siblings: Tropher Willie Sr., Willie James Willie, Eugene Willie Sr., Tommy Willie, Frankie Lee Willie, and Robert Willie.
The family deeply appreciates the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Major’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Viewing will be held at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134, US, on April 17th, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at the same location from 2:00 - 3:00 pm, and a Committal Service to follow.
