Memorial services will be held on May 14, 2020 starting at 6:30 pm at the Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel, located at 6001 Rufe Snow Dr, Fort Worth, Texas 76148.
Mrs. Knight was born on December 24, 1939 in Fort Worth, Texas to John and Frances Dilworth. Mrs. Knight grew up in the Fort Worth area, attending Tech High School (now known as Trimble Tech). After high school, she worked a variety of jobs including switchboard operator and legal secretary. She ended her professional career in Human Resources at Wackenhut in Jacksboro, Texas. Mrs. Knight was a gracious hostess, always willing to go the extra mile to make visitors welcomed in her home. Mrs. Knight was known as a lover of all pets and spent her free time researching her family roots including visiting rural, out of the way cemeteries trying to locate that last nugget of information about a past ancestor. Mrs. Knight also adored spending time with her family.
Mrs. Knight was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dilworth, her Aunt Isabel and several other aunts, uncles and family members.
Mrs. Knight is survived by her husband Kenneth Knight; two children, Kerry Knight Wright and James Zander; her brothers William “Bud” Dilworth, Frank Dilworth and John Dilworth; grandchildren Elysa and Alia Wright; and numerous other relatives and friends.
