Margaret Elizabeth Metcalfe was born February 17, 1921, in Venus, Texas, the daughter of Harley and Fleta Boteler. Elizabeth grew up in the Polytechnic area of Fort Worth and is a member of Polytechnic United Methodist Church. She retired from Tarrant County Community College where she worked for over 20 years. Elizabeth’s most prized gift in her life was family. From being a young girl, to a beautiful wife and mother and then on to being a great great grandmother, family was her joy. Her home was always open with love and laughter and compassion. She will be greatly missed at the game table she shared with all the little children that visited.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her loving husband, Sherrell W. Metcalfe. Survivors include Son Richard S. Metcalfe of Benbrook, daughter Linda Allen of Arlington, son Gary and wife Kathy Metcalfe of Parker, Colorado; daughter Vicki and son-in-law Jeffrey Heyer of Fort Worth and daughter Kay Isbell of Lawrence, Kansas; nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, her brother Edgar and sister-in-law Jean Boteler of Midlothian, brother Winston Boteler of Houston, Texas and sister-in-law Louise Boteler of Fort Worth and several nieces and nephews.
