In her younger years, she enjoyed touring churches in various states and singing gospel songs with her 5 children and her husband, Wes. For the last two years, she enjoyed traveling to 16 national parks, including the Grand Canyon, which was an unfulfilled dream of her late husband. She delighted in family sing-alongs and good conversations over coffee at family get-togethers, as well as eating Chinese food at Ying Cafe with her son.
