

Dianna Hamlin, 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 29, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, she leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion that will be cherished by all who knew her.
Born on September 30, 1943, in Clovis, New Mexico, Dianna was the daughter of Herman and Frankie Henson. She grew up with a strong sense of family and faith—values that would guide her throughout her life. A devoted member of the Church of Christ, Dianna was known for her unwavering Christian faith and the strength she brought to those around her.
Dianna shared 61 wonderful years of marriage with her husband Dennis Hamlin. Together they built a life centered on love and family. She was the proud mother of two daughters, Melissa and Cathy. Though she endured the heartbreaking loss of her daughter Melissa on December 15, 2021, Dianna’s strength never wavered as she continued to be a guiding light for her family.
Affectionately known as “Nanny,” Dianna embraced her role as matriarch with warmth and joy. She was a loving grandmother to Skyla, Stephen, Hannah, and Carli. Her great-granddaughter Freya held a special place in her heart—bringing Dianna immense happiness in their time together.
Dianna had a gift for making others feel at home. She loved baking and crocheting—her kitchen often filled with the comforting aroma of homemade treats during holidays and special occasions. Her handcrafted crochet blankets and stools were treasured gifts for family and friends—especially for new babies—each one made with care and affection.
Hosting gatherings was one of Dianna’s greatest joys. Whether it was a holiday celebration or a simple get-together, she created spaces where laughter flowed freely, and memories were made. Her home was always open—a place where everyone felt welcome.
She is deeply missed by all her family and friends who were touched by her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love.

A visitation for Mary will be held Wednesday, August 6, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Shannon Rufe Snow Drive Funeral. A funeral service will occur Thursday, August 7, 2025 at 10:30,burial to follow at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211.
