Jere was born December 9, 1933 in Farmersville, TX to Lon and Lottie Rowan. She retired from General Dynamics after marrying Billy Hardie in 1979. She was a long time member of Southcliff Baptist Church where she worked with the youth group for many years and spent the last several years working in the nursery with the babies. She was a devoted prayer warrior, and she loved reading her Bible.
Jere was preceded in death by her loving husband, Billy Hardie; 3 brothers; and 4 sisters.
She is survived by her daughters, Carol Williams and Carla Eakman and step daughters, Jody Shipman and Judy Horne; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and sisters, Joann Rutherford and Jeanette Murphy.
