Mary was the fourteenth of fifteen children born on September 1, 1935 to Thomas Chase Raper and Tommie Lee Boutcher Raper. She was the last living sibling and recently celebrated her 90th birthday with her surviving children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mary (Neva) married at a very young age and had three children; Henry Lonzo Adcox III, Marilyn Jo Adcox Noble and Rebecca Jean Adcox Cann (deceased). She taught her children homemaking skills, sewing, cooking, cleaning, woodworking and to be creative. She taught her children to be compassionate and understanding to the poor. She loved her family and wouldn’t miss a family gathering.
