Mildred Lucille McQuaid

A graveside service will be held at Memory Gardens of the Valley, 5600 Mineral Wells Hwy, Weatherford, Texas on Monday November 29th, 2021 at 1:00 in the afternoon. Friends are welcome. Visitation will be at Shannon Rose Hill 7301 E Lancaster, Fort Worth on Sunday the 28th from 2 until 5 in the afternoon.

Millie was born in Cheyenne, Oklahoma to George Verlin Thompson and Ola Olton (Brown) Thompson on January 7th, 1930. She graduated from Mt.View High School in Mt. View Oklahoma in 1947. She married Glenn McQuaid May 3rd, 1948 in Wichita Falls, Texas. They were together for 39 years; he preceded her in death in 1987. Millie met and married William B. Hudson in 1992. They were married in Garner, Texas March 26th, 1992 and were happy together until Bill’s passing in 2017.

Millie was a working woman all her life, beginning on the farm and custom harvesting with her Mom and Dad. Millie’s professional life was spent as an accountant and budget analyst for various businesses. She finished her career as a Special Agent with the U.S. Small Business Administration, Office of the Inspector General. She was an officer in the Association of Federal Investigators.

Millie was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a lifelong Christian serving the Lord and the Methodist Church. She was a mentor to many people. We will all miss her greatly.

Millie was preceded in death by parents G.V. and Ola Olton Thompson and brother George Donald Thompson. Husband Glenn McQuaid. Husband William B. Hudson.

Her survivors are son James Glenn McQuaid and wife Audie of Weatherford, Texas, daughter Angela Jill Burwash of Carrollton, Tx. Step-daughter Scottie (Hudson) Valdez and husband Paul of Fort Worth,Tx Grandchildren Rhiannon Denning and husband Cody of Keller, Tx, Ethan Burwash and wife Mellissa of Fort Worth, Tx and Shane Burwash of Grand Prairie, Tx. Great-grandchildren James Denning, Grace Burwash, Mia Burwash, Rylee Burwash and Ethan Burwash. Sister Dona Core of Wilkesboro, NC. Sister in law Martha Suther of Mineral Wells, TX. Numerous nieces and nephews
