Morris "Doug" Mitchell was born Jan. 20, 1953, in Greenville to parents Milton and Willie Mae Mitchell.
Doug enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing. He loved being with family. His passion was the Masonic Order. Doug was a Master Mason. He was Past Worshipful Master at Deer Creek Lodge 510, Master Mason at New Hope 652, Anadahko 16, Past Patron Alvarado Chapter OES 656, Past Commander at Worth Commandery 19. He was also a member of Eastern Star Everman Chapter 624, Scottish Rite of Fort Worth, York Rite College 154, Texas Chapter and Council PTIM and PHP, Texas 362, R.A.M. Endowed, Worth's Hiram ABIF Council 342, El Texa Grotto- Past Monarch, Moslah Shrine, Flying Fez and life member of Granbury Scottish Rite Club.
Doug was preceded in death by his father, Milton "Buddy" Mitchell; brother, Dennis Mitchell; great-granddaughter, Haley Anglin; great-grandson, Brody Brown.
Survivors: Wife, Pattie; mother, Willie Mae; stepchildren, Pam Johnson (Tim), Michael Anglin (Veronica), Beau Anglin; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Gerald Mitchell (Martha), Milton Mitchell (Jeannie), Robert Mitchell; sister, Judy Tate (Scott); numerous nieces and nephews.
