He was born in Perrington, Texas on July 23rd, 1968, one of six children in his household. He had a great
passion for baseball, which he played throughout his life until he focused on raising and supporting his
family.
Morris was best known for being a Minor League Baseball Player, a City Bus Driver, and a Limousine
Driver for AJL, driving prolific celebrities that visited the DFW area, and was the personal driver for Tony
Romo and Jessica Simpson. He was well-liked and respected, often requested by name by countless
celebrities that wanted the personal, friendly banter of Morris Jr. A proud Catholic, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus along with his son. His entire family was quick to volunteer in church community events, always willing to lend a hand to help or their hearts for prayer.
His greatest achievement, however, was when he married the love of his life, Samantha. He married
Samantha Herrera Moss on April 18th, 1998 in All Saints Catholic Church in Fort Worth, Texas, adopting
his daughter Sarah Herrera at the same time. He raised her as his own flesh and blood, like any good
father would. Morris loved to barbeque, and was always ready to bust out the grill with his son at any occasion: Easter, Thanksgiving, the 4th or July, or just for fun. Nobody\ went hungry when he was behind the grill.
He was also passionate about Texas sports, always supporting the Texas Rangers long before they were
World Champions, and the Dallas Cowboys, no matter the ups or downs. He was an avid fan of movies on the polar opposite spectrum: Dance movies like Step-Up, and the Fast and the Furious Series. Morris
was always fast with a joke, and would love to show off any new wisecrack he learned about, and would
laugh a joke even if he heard it a hundred times.
Morris is preceded in death by Morris Ray Moss Sr. and Peggy Lowanda Moss; his son, Christopher
Moss; his sister Connie and his brother Roger. He gets to be with them now, and tell them all about the
wonderful life he lived (and a few new jokes, no doubt). He was survived by his wife, Samantha Moss,
His Children, Sarah Janie Olin,Cecilia Moss, Victoria Moss, and Matthew Moss. His siblings, David, Kathy and Melinda. His Godchildren, Gilbert and Teresa Chazarrata, and Christine and Kaitlyn Vasquez. He is also survived by a wide array of friends and family, hundreds of people in the DFW area beyond,
be it from baseball, church or work. He had a big personality, and an even bigger heart. He will be
missed, but never forgotten.
Funeral arrangements will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday December 16th at St. Ann’s Catholic Church
on 100 Southwest Alsbury Blvd, Burleson, Texas. The Rosary starts at 11:30am.
