Myrna, my friend. My babysitter. I will never forget you. Alvaro such a kind person. May the ‘ Lord’ receive you both in his heavenly kingdom. 

I worked with Myrna at APD. She was a very kind lady. I remember she retired at an early age to take care of her kids. I’m  sorry for the family’s  loss. I pray God gives you strength & comfort during this difficult time.                                                 God bless ! 

Gone too soon my sweet friends. My last memory of you was when you guys came over to get Laila’s ears pierced and then y’all  waited until I got ready to go interview. You watched me get ready and do my makeup just admiring me and talking to me to calm my nerves before I left. I’m sad I did not get to see you in person after that. Thank you for the wonderful 20 yrs of genuine friendship and accepting me into your home and including me in all the fun. Wish I had more pictures of our casino runs or holidays we got to spend. I will now cherish the memories in my heart. I know you are hand in hand with Alvaro in the glory of the lord. I love ,appreciate, and will miss you greatly! 

We will always remember you , so kind and always there for someone who needed help,  you left to soon but I know you gonna be watching over your kids and grandkids, I know how much you love them and your kids too, God needed an angel and he call you and your husband, please just send all the strength  to your kids I know they got hit hard, k Diosito los tenga en su reino. Myrna was a lovely, generous and kind person and always with a smile on her face--I have wonderful memories of her at Arlington PD-- 

A mother’s love isn’t one I understood until I became a mother myself and at a young age. I will never be ok with the reality of having to lose you. Thank you for all the love and support you and daddy gave me, I hope to one day see you guys again.. you will be truly missed by So many people but I forever will not be ok. You were and always be the best wife, mother & grandmother in the world. Julian got to make so many memories with you thank you for loving him and loving Laila the small amount of time you were here with her. Being a boy mom is different then a girl mom. The Bond between a mother and a daughter is very special and I will cherish our memories in my heart. You will always have a special bond with Laila for being there when we needed you.  Love you always ❤️

I had the pleasure of working with Myrna on a regular basis. I was a Detective in the Fugitive Apprehension Unit and that involved working with Crimestoppers. What a wonderful spirit and person she was to work with, which included lots of laughter and fun, while taking our assignments very seriously. My prayers also extend to her husband's family as well, may God keep them under his wing as they navigate this moment of sadness. I too, am saddened by the lost of two beautiful people. I will continue to pray for both families.

I was hit hard about Myrna's passing. It was spring of 1977 & I had gotten through the testing to be considered as a candidate for the Arlington Police Dept.; written, physical, polygraph, etc. & it was time  for the final step-face to face interview with Chief H.C.Perry.  I walked through the doors of 717 W.Main St.-back then, the west entrance & the desk Officer, PBX operator, & dispatcher-that I later came to know as: Sandy Walthall, Mary Jackson, & Betty Miller-(Horton), were all busy. I looked to my left & saw what was then the CID Division & it was Myrna-their receptionist saw the, "I'm lost look", on my face. She was so kind & with her unique smile, directed me to Chief Perry's Office after calling his receptionist-Janie, to  announce my presence.  Countless times I encountered Myrna on the job, & my last impression of her was the same as the first, & soft spoken, kind, & decent lady. That was 45 years ago, & Myrna's way of being kind is as strong in my memory as t was the day after. 

Descansa en  Paz mi Amiga. I will cherish your friendship and smiles forever. Thank you for your behind the scenes support of the Amigos En Azul de Arlington. Because of your encouraging words back in ‘96-‘97, the Amigos were  born from an idea to become a reality.  Farewell, for now,  my sister from South Texas.

I worked with Myrna in Crime Stoppers at the Arlington Police Department for six years.  She was welcoming to me when I first started work there and was a pleasure to be around. We became fast friends.  I met her entire family, and her love for all was something to behold.  When Crime Stoppers left Arlington, we went to different jobs at APD but kept in touch always. We enjoyed many lunches on our birthdays.  Myrna was devoted to her husband, Al, her children, her grandchildren, and took care of her mother until she passed.  She will be missed greatly.  May she and Al have eternal peace. Prayers to her family in this difficult time. RIP Myrna, my dear friend. Elaine Tucker, APD retired #1706

Myrna was a trusted friend and co-worker during my time at APD Crime Stoppers.  She kept Ken Clarida and I informed and in-line.  She always had a great smile and was a jewel to work with.  Her sense of humor was priceless.  Her dedication to Crime Stoppers was strong and enduring.  We did cross paths several years ago, and her love of family was at the forefront of her life. I'm saddened to hear of her death at such a young age.  I'm also saddened to her of her husband's passing.  Our thoughts and prayers are with her family,  loved ones, and friends close to her and them at this final stage of life.   May the Lord keep them together in eternal salvation. 🙏
