

Nancy Ruth McGrew Galloway 81, of Burleson Texas, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her loved ones on January 16, 2026. Nancy was born to Elbert and Leta McGrew on July 24, 1944, in Stockdale, Texas. She graduated from Mathis High School in 1962. Nancy met her soulmate Bill Ray Galloway in October of 1962, and they were married on December 15, 1962. They were married just shy of 60 years when Bill passed away on April 1, 2022. They had a daughter together, Vicki Sue Galloway Dry and they loved and cherished her dearly. Nancy worked as a loan officer at City Bank for 20 years. When she retired, Nancy and Bill loved to go camping in their RV with their friends around the US. Nancy especially loved spending time with her daughter and family. Nancy also loved to go on trips to visit her extended family in Corpus Christi and Midland. She also enjoyed going to Florida to see her best friend, Margaret. Nancy grew up going to Church of Christ with her parents and later in life she was a member at the Burleson Church of Christ.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Bill Galloway, parents Elbert and Leta McGrew, and brother Mac McGrew. She survived by her daughter Vicki Dry and husband Charles Dry of Burleson; Grandson Ryan Scott Dry and wife Carli Dry of Alvarado; her Great Grandsons Dylan Scott Dry, Owen Stewart Zara-Dry, Grayson Walker Dry, and soon to be great granddaughter Everlee Rae Dry, of Alvarado. She was also survived by her brother Roy McGrew and wife Joy of Corpus Christi; nieces Melissa Garza and husband David of Corpus Christi; Emily Hill and Husband Chad of Midland; nephews Shawn McGrew and wife Crystal of Corpus Christi; Morgan McGrew of California; great nieces and nephews Vanessa Ochoa and Chris Garza, Ryker, Hudson, and Olivia Hill; Colton and Jackson McGrew.
