Naomi Marilyn Harbert

A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, located at 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034, with Matthew Hurst of First Baptist Church Watauga, officiating.

Naomi was born in Lingleville, TX to Walter and Bessie Metsgar on January 23, 1930. She went to school in Lingleville, TX. She married Ralph G. Harbert on August 4, 1947.

Naomi was the owner and operator for 20+ years of Harberts’ Preschool, Kindergarten and Daycare Center located in Hurst. She had an amazing love for children and helped educate and guide many young hearts through their developmental stages. To this day, there are many former students that have fond memories of their time spent at Harberts’, and of Mrs. Harbert and Papa (Ralph). Upon retirement, Naomi became active in senior center activities, served on several City boards and volunteered for non-profit groups giving of her time and talents as she made many special friends acquaintances.

Naomi is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Harbert, her son Royce Harbert and her precious 10 yr. old granddaughter, Christie Johnson.

Naomi is survived by her daughters, Paula Walser and Judy Allen (James) Grandchildren Shawn Johnson; Troy Birdwell (Dani); Amber Allen-Jones (Joe); and Rodney Harbert (Tonya); and Six Great Grandchildren and Two Great Great Grandchildren and a very special friend, caretaker and Daughter in Christ, Debbie Young.

Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church, Watauga, MetroPort Meals on Wheels.
