Neomia Irene Sims

Neomia will be honored with a Visitation at Laurel Land – Rose Hill Funeral Home, 7301 East Lancaster Ave, Fort Worth, Texas 76112, on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held at Laurel Land – Rose Hill Funeral Home on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 10:00 am. Burial to follow at Laurel Land – Rose Hill Memorial Park.

Neomia was born in Vernon, Texas to M.L. Parramore and Rosa Harris on May 11, 1944. She received her education from Denton Independent School District.

On May 2, 1964 Neomia married Delbert Sims and to this union they welcomed two sons, James and Corwin. As family grew, her grandchildren and great grandchildren filled her days with plenty of smiles, laughs and wonderful memories.

Neomia is preceded in death by her father M.L. Parramore, mother Rosa Harris, her husband Delbert Sims, brothers J.B Harris, J.W. Harris, Roy Lee Harris, Cleveland Harris, R.L. Harris, C.J. Parramore, D.C. Parramore, Melvin Parramore, sisters Marie Harris and Miller Dean Dobbins.

Left to cherish Neomia’s memory are her children James F. Sims (Tracie) and Corwin D. Sims (Candra); siblings Raymond Abron, Hattiefaye Jones, and Linda Ward; grandchildren, James F Sims Jr.(Ashfany), Brittney Sims-Spearmon (Christopher), Brinesha Sims-Mbonkumu (Cristiano); great-grandchildren, Mya Spearmon, Aubrey Sims, Zoe Mbonkumu, Avery Grace Sims, Marli Rose Spearmon, Chloe Mbonkumu, Micah Mbonkumu, James F. Sims III; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
