Norma Jean Hodge, 87, passed away September 27. Norma was born September 24, 1929 in Sacred Heart, Oklahoma to John and Teresa Akerman. She was raised in the Konowa, Okla area and attended Konowa High School. There she me the love of her life Teddy Frank Hodge and they married May 26, 1948 in Sacred Heart. Ted preceded her in death June 16, 1996. Norma’s early career was raising four boys. She then became an accomplished artist in stained glass, examples of which can be seen in the homes of her family. Norma loved cooking, gardening, travel, and the Texas Rangers. In her later years, she volunteered at the Lone Oak Library. Norma is survived by her sons Ted, Tony, and Mark, and many loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
