

Oscar Chandler was born on August 22, 1932 in Cleburne, Texas to the parentage of Ewing and Maytrel Chandler. Oscar attended the Cleburne Independent School District and graduated from the Booker T. Washington High School in 1954 where he still attended the class reunions.
Oscar met and married the love of his life, Mervie on May 30, 1964. He worked for Texas Battery Company in Cleburne for 35 years as a supervisor. Oscar was a long time fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He loved watching the Cowboys play on Sunday afternoons. Oscar was a faithful and active member at the Our Father's House Church. He loved elk hunting, deep sea fishing and traveling.
On January 6, 2022 Oscar heard and answered to the Master's call from labor to reward. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ewing and Maytrel Chandler; daughter, Anita Morgan; 4 brothers, James, Leon, E.B. and Charles; 1 sister, Alice Chandler; and 1 granddaughter, Aleisha Chandler.
Those left to cherish his precious memories are his daughter, Julie Chandler-Taylor (Keith); son Michael Chandler (Connie); grandchildren, P.J. Chandler (Nesia), Shak'Ira Hunter (Erick), Yolanda Chandler, Tremaine Polydore; 8 great grand children, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
