

Patricia Lind Shannon passed away Friday, December 30th, 2016 at the age of 86 in Fort Worth. She was surrounded by her family and loving husband Jack. Pat was born in Fort Worth, January 2, 1930 to E.L.”Pappy” and Lind Sprague.
She attended Arlington Heights High School and went on to graduate from Texas Tech University where she was one of the original members of the Koshari Social Club, later known as Pi Beta Phi Sorority. She was a member of Saint John's Anglican Church. She served as a Trustee on the Fort Worth Independent School District Board, (1971 – 1982), served as a trustee of the Texas Association of school boards (1975-1982), was a member of the Board of Directors of Family Service, active in Executive Women International, the North Fort Worth Women's Club, and Camp Fire with many colleagues, and was part of the Fort Worth Ambassador Delegation to Fort Worth’s Sister City, Nagaoka, Japan. She worked for many years at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park. She enjoyed traveling and experiencing multiple cultural experiences. Education was her passion and she encouraged all to further their education.
She loved Texas Tech and was a grateful supporter of the School of Ophthalmology .
She is survived by her husband of 65 years Jack O. Shannon, Jr. Her children J.O."Trey" Shannon III, Patty Fenoglio and her husband Richard, and Mike Shannon and his wife Gayla; grandchildren; Stefanie Nielson and her husband Kent, Nathan Fenoglio and his wife Betsy, Kara Boldt and her husband Jon, Carolyn Shannon, and Alec Shannon, great grandchildren; Kali, Mac, Eleanor, Beatrix, Lily, Ramsey, and Henry. Pat is also survived by her brother, Buddy Sprague and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Pappy and Lind Sprague and by two grandchildren Ian Michael Shannon and J. O. "Scott" Shannon IV.

Visitation will be Monday, January 2nd at Shannon Rose Hill(7301 E. Lancaster), 7:00 – 9:00 pm.
Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm, January 3rd, Tuesday at Saint John's Anglican Church (2401 College Ave), followed by a reception in Mitchell Hall.
