Paul Rivers

Paul was born Aug. 3, 1925, in Atlanta, Ga., to Marvin L. and Mary Lee Rivers. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1943 and was an aviation machinist mate first class upon his discharge in 1945. He worked at Deitz Labs for 55 years. Paul loved telling stories about his family and his childhood. He traveled all across the country on road trips, but he especially loved casinos.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Mildred Louise Rivers; his parents; brother, Marvin Lee Rivers; sister, Margaret Whitehead; and grandson, Craig Martz.

Survivors: Daughters, Jean Martz and Pam Couch and husband, Kiney; grandchildren, Maj. Al Martz, Coni Felinski, Cooper Couch and Saylor Couch; great-grandchildren, Russell Martz, Ryan Martz, Courtney Felinski, Mike Martz, Jason Martz, Aaron Browder and Alex Browder; siblings, Ruth Mitchell, Roy Rivers and Louise Hildreth; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends; and special family members, Ruby Smith, Leah Browder and Sue Martz.
