Peter Martinez Porras

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Peter Porras, who left us on November 6th, 2024 at the age of 66. He was a beloved father, brother, uncle, grandfather and great grandfather and his presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Born on April 20th1958 in Kansas City, Kansas. Pete was a dedicated truck driver for over 40 years who traveled the nations highways with pride. His love for the open road was only surpassed by his love for his family. He valued hard work and was the type of man that would choose to repair something over buying something new and was notorious for “rigging things up”. He learned to work on small motors as a young boy and so began his love for mechanical work. He never minded getting his hands dirty or lending a helping hand. While he devoted most of his time and energy to his family, Pete loved to fish, play his guitar, and watch football.

Pete is survived by, and will be greatly missed by Charlene Espinoza, and their children, April Marie (Albert) Vasquez, Linda (Nicholas) Lopez, Mary Ann Espinoza, Pete Espinoza, Rosanna Espinoza and David Isaac Porras. His grandchildren Anissa, Valentino, Valerie, Jayme Isaiah, Ariel, Marcos, Marina, Isidro (Junior), Abigail, Damien, Christopher, Jordan, Nina and he had a special place in his heart for the his youngest grandson Xavier. His nine great grandchildren Ayana, Geovanni, Lilah, Amira, Caroline, Avery, Ruben, Raymon, Rory and many more family and friends.

Peter Porras was preceded in death by his father Michael Lopez Porras and his mother Mary Martinez Olivarri.

The family invites relatives and friends to a celebration of Peter Porras’s life on Tuesday, November 12th, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH TX. 76134, followed by a funeral service from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM.

The family deeply appreciates the outpouring of love, prayers and support during this difficult time. Pete's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
