In Loving Memory of Phyllis Kaye Beaver

Born on January 13, 1947, in Fort Worth, Texas. Kaye (as she was affectionately called) brought warmth, laughter, and compassion into the lives of everyone she met. Her strength, resilience, and generous heart were the foundations of a life lived with grace and purpose. She was known for her unwavering faith, her love of decorating and DIY projects, and her enduring commitment to those she held dear.

In January 1968, Phyllis married Tommie Lee Steptoe Jr. To this union, three children were born: Tommie III, Therron and Shanna. She dedicated herself to raising her family with love, wisdom, and grace.

Later in life, Phyllis meet and shared a beautiful partnership with her devoted husband, Roy Beaver. Their marriage was a lasting example of love, support, and companionship. Together, they built a home filled with care, laughter, and deep family bonds.

Phyllis Kaye Beaver, transitioned from earth to glory on May 03, 2025, at the age of 78. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved son, Tommie Lee Steptoe III (Junior); and her brother, Dwight Lamont Orr.

She is survived by her loving husband, Roy; her children, Therron Steptoe and Shanna Steptoe; her eighteen beloved grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts.

Kaye’s light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her kindness, her laughter, and her loving spirit will never be forgotten.
